Notre Dame Takes Silver In Rocky Top Classic Gold Finals

The Notre Dame volleyball team went 4-1 and brought home a second place finish in this past weekend’s Rocky Top Classic in Sevierville.

The Lady Irish defeated teams from Loudon, Harlan, KY, North Hall, GA and Chapel Hill, GA, before falling to Spain Park, AL in the Gold Division finals.

Notre Dame was led by McKenna Brown, a junior outside hitter, with a combined 37 kills, 19 digs, 5.5 blocks and 1 ace, and sophomore setter Mary Fillauer with four kills, 12 digs, .5 blocks, 9 aces and 69 assists.

Junior libero Gwen Jimenez had 46 digs and four assists, while sophomore middle hitter Regan Wolf contributed 15 kills, seven blocks and two digs.
