UTC Announces Women's Spring Soccer Schedule

  • Friday, October 23, 2020

Chattanooga women’s soccer head coach Gavin McKinney announced the 2021 Mocs’ spring soccer slate after the fall season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are excited for the spring season,” McKinney said. “The squad is currently working extremely hard in preparation for it.

“When it starts at the end of February it will have been a full calendar since our last competitive match.”

The Mocs last took the field on February 21 earlier this season in the opening match of their spring season.

The remaining matches were cancelled.

Chattanooga will open the 2021 season with its lone non-conference match on February 26 against North Alabama at the UTC Sports Complex. A full Southern Conference slate will follow.

The Mocs will open the SoCon season on March 5 at home against Samford in the first of a three-game home stand. The next week, ETSU and Western Carolina will come to Chattanooga. The Mocs will hit the road for Furman and Wofford before closing out the home matches with The Citadel and Mercer at the end of March.

The final two regular season matches will be on the road at UNCG and VMI.

“To say the least, we are really looking forward to playing in the spring and we are grateful for the opportunity,” McKinney said.
