Ollie Bell Franks, 77, of Graysville, passed away on Thursday morning, October 22, 2020, at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga.

Ollie Bell was born on Sept. 4, 1943, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of the late Thurman Coy Goodson and Ollie Bell (Stalcup) Goodson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward “Ed” Howard Franks, her sister, Winnie (Leon) Walden, and her son-in-law Gary Galloway. 

Ollie Bell was a resident of Graysville since 1966 and she was a long haul semitruck driver with her husband Ed. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with family. Her greatest joy was her great-grandchildren. She was of the Church of God Faith. 

She is survived by her son, Bruce (Jaime) Franks of Dayton; her daughter, Karen Galloway of Fredricksburg, VA; three grandchildren, Christina (Shane) Pendergrass of Dayton, Jason (Heather) Galloway of Woodbridge, VA and Cory (Meghann) Galloway of Washington, DC; four great-grandchildren, Aiden, Adalynn, and Emory Bell Pendergrass and Riley B. Galloway; brothers, Clifford “Bill” Goodson of Spring City and Coy Eugene (Debbie) Goodson of Dayton; and sister, Ginger (Jim) Smith of Graysville. 

Funeral services for Ollie Bell will be held Sunday afternoon, October 25, 2020 at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Dodd officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Ed in Rhea Memory Gardens. Social distancing is strongly encouraged and masks will be required.
