Margaret Jeanette Jensen, wife, mother and homemaker passed peacefully in her sleep on November 19, 2020.

 

Jeanette was born in Midland City, Alabama and grew up in Dundee, Florida.  She graduated from Haines City High School and attended Tennessee Temple College along with her beloved husband, Douglas Parker Jensen, who preceded her in death on March 12th, 2017.  They were married on February 20, 1948 at the Dundee Baptist Church and spent their lives together in Christian Ministry.  They first served in numerous churches and then as missionaries with Trans World Radio.  The little girl from Dundee, Florida followed and supported her husband, Doug, around the world serving in Bonaire, Sri Lanka, Monte Carlo, Swaziland, Guam, and Chattanooga.

 

In later years, Jeanette and Doug belonged to the Woodland Park Baptist Church.

 

Jeanette is survived by three children, William Douglas Jensen (Penelope), Karen Jensen Kerr (Don) and Philip Lee Jensen (Pam), four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

 

Jeanette will be laid to rest alongside her beloved at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Services for Jeanette will be private at the graveside with family members.

 

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Trans World Radio, 300 Gregson Drive, Cary, NC. 27511 or Grace Baptist Academy, 7815 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN. 37421.
