Retired From Memorial Hospital After 49 Years

Annie Lula Oliver was born on March 30, 1929, in Jacksonville, Alabama, to Alfred Williams and Carrie Bell Dobbins. She moved to Chattanooga at an early age and was a graduate of Howard High School.

 

She retired from CHI Memorial Hospital as a unit clerk after 49 years of service. She was a child of God and Methodist by faith.  

 

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Williams and Carrie Bell Dobbins; sister, Mary Dew; brothers, Henry Linder and Ralf Linder; sons, Noah Oliver III and Alfred Oliver. 

 

Annie went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 9, 2020.

 

Left to cherish her memories, her loving husband, of over 71 years, Noah Oliver Jr; daughters, Sallye (Elbert) Wallace, Gloria Oliver-Davis, Barbara (Willie, Jr.) Kitchens, Lena Oliver; son, Martin Oliver; sister, Victoria Walker; brothers, Calvin Dobbins, Fred Linder; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great, grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and many special friends.  

 

A public viewing will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the funeral home. A private funeral service will be held.

 

Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
