Supporters and community leaders will host a virtual fundraiser for mayoral candidate Wade Hinton on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Mayor Stephen K. Benjamin of Columbia, SC will be the special guest.
Mayor Benjamin was elected as the 36th mayor of Columbia, S.C. in 2010. In addition to serving as mayor of Columbia, he also served as the former president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and as chairman for Municipal Bonds for America. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi and Sigma Pi Phi fraternities.
As Columbia’s first African American mayor, said he Mayor Benjamin is excited to endorse Wade Hinton.
