The Planning Commission on Monday recommended approval for a residential development on 60 acres off Webb Road near Lake Chickamauga.
Maverick Development Group is planning the project, which will have 103 lots.
Spokesman Mike Price said the new subdivision would not come directly off Webb Road, but use a nearby subdivision. He said the road from Waterstone Drive will lead to two cul de sacs.
He said there are swales and steep slopes in that vicinity, but 30 acres of that terrain would be left as green space.
Nearby neighbors told of continuing water runoff problems.
Planning Commission members said the project will have to find a way to retain water so that no more water runs off the site as it does now.
