  • Wednesday, February 12, 2020

Two students from Boyd Buchanan School, Caitlin Hoilman, 12th grade, and Kayla Campbell, sixth grade, won first place in the state’s annual Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest.

The students were recognized by the TN State Fire Marshal’s Office during an awards ceremony at the Tennessee Governor’s Residence.

Caitlin and Kayla were winners in CFD's poster contest, and their artwork then went on to the state level, where they won big again.

The theme was "Not Every Hero Wears a Cape.

Plan and Practice Your Escape," honoring those who develop and practice a fire escape plan with their loved ones.
