Chuck Wagon Gang at Flintstone Baptist Church nearly a year ago
The Chuck Wagon Gang returns to the Flintstone Baptist Church on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m.
The CWG will sing favorites plus selections from their latest project, No Depression in Heaven.
Pastor Brent Smith invites everyone.
There is no admission but a love offering will be taken.
The CWG performed nearly a year ago at the church on Mountain View Circle off Highway 193. The CWG also sang at the Red Back Hymnal Singing at the Hullander farm last October.
The CWG has been singing the Gospel for over 80 years. Some of their famous songs include, from 1937 - The Son hath made me free, I’ll Fly Away, On the Jericho Road, The Church in the Wildwood, Echo’s from the Burning Bush, Higher, Where the Soul never dies and hundreds more. Their latest project is a tribute to the Carter Family. Shaye Smith, granddaughter of original alto Anna Gordon Davis is owner and sings regularly with the group. Other members are Melissa Kemper, Stan Hill, and Karl Smakula.
