Alfred C. "Buddy" May was born on January 24, 1932, and entered heaven on March 15, 2020.

Buddy graduated from University of Chattanooga, was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and retired from Combustion. Buddy was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church where the May family was active in founding the church in the early 1900s. Buddy led choirs in several area churches including South Daisy Baptist Church and lead the Prime Time Singers at Red Bank Baptist Church.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ora May, sister, Thelma May Gann and sister, Veneta May Sisk.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Janie Blaylock May, nephew, John Sisk Sr. and several great-nieces, and nephews.

Special love and gratitude to Ed and Nancy Blaylock for their constant care and love for Buddy.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 3 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
