Leroy Lewis
Leroy Lewis, Jr., 85, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
Mr. Lewis was born and raised in Chattanooga. He retired from the City of Chattanooga Public Works Department as a Supervisor. Leroy enjoyed meeting with friends at Applebee’s and playing cards with his friends. He was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with his family and was a huge Tennessee Volunteer fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Lewis; parents, Ida and Leroy Lewis, Sr.; and brother, Bob Lewis.
Surviving are his children - Mike(Debbie) Lewis, Robert (Donna) Lewis, Donna(Bill) Grayson, and Kathy Neill; Grandchildren - Stacie(Keith) Liles, Rob(Megan) Lewis, Misty(CJ) Davis, Jeremy(Tiffany) McGinnis, Stacey(Chris) Johnson, Heather(Tim) Jackson, Michael(Brittany) Lewis, Karla Corbin, Bryan Corbin, Kim Brown, and Angela Richardson; Great Grandchildren - Zachary, Garrett, Abbie, Annabelle, Ben, Landon, Ayden, Gavin, Kinzie, Ian, Brystal, Paige(Bryant) Volz, Gabe, Josh, Dasha, Brian, Kora, Levi, Grace, Alyssa, Shelby, Timothy, Destiny, Christopher, and Toni; Great Great Grandchildren - Owen, Will, and Reese.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, at the funeral home.
A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chris Ware officiating. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be the grandsons and great grandsons.
