With the ever-changing state-by-state COVID-19 regulations regarding the pandemic, the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series announced changes to the June calendar. Races scheduled for June 12-13 and June 18-20 are now postponed. In their place, a weekend doubleheader at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tn. has been added to the slate on Friday ($6,000 to win) and Saturday ($10,000 to win), June 19-20.
The trip will mark the seventh and eighth all-time appearances by the World of Outlaws at the 4/10-mile oval high banked dirt track oval near Bristol.
Illinois Brandon Sheppard, one of the three hottest racers in America, will be on hand in the (#1) Rocket house-car.
As for Tennessee's Jimmy Owens and Georgian's Brandon Overton the other two Dirt Late Model top aces, so far in 2020. They'll likely be racing in Mississippi that weekend as their Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model schedule takes them to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus for three nights of action.
Dirtvision will have the live internet broadcast for subscribers both nights in Tennessee, while Lucas Oil Racing TV will carry Mississippi's $15,000 to-Win finale Sunday.
