James Jones
James Edward Jones Sr., 66, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, transcended peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior, on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at a local hospital.
He entered this earthly world on August 29, 1953. He graduated from Chattanooga State and he was a 1972 graduate of Riverside High School. James was the proud founder and owner of Jones Plumbing & Home Repair. He was a devoted member of New Enon Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie Bell Jones and William Cornelius Freeman; four brothers, Ernest Thaxton, William Freeman, Eddie Jones and Joseph Jones; two sisters, Mildred Smith and Alice Faye Norman.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his memories his loving wife Barbara Jones, seven children, Tabitha Banks, Lawanda Price, James (Miranda) Jones Jr., Reverend Michael (Tanika) Jones of Murfreesboro, TN, Buffie Fugh, Eric (Sandra) Jones, Jamesha Jones, 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, at the funeral home.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private service for family members will be held on Wednesday, June 10, at 11:00 am. Dr. Andrew J. Bullard, III officiating. The service can be viewed www.831vision.com/tv
