World War II Veteran Retired From Newton Chevrolet After 48 Years

Willis R. Headley, Jr., 93, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

He was born in Sheffield, Al. He was a long time resident of Chattanooga area. He proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He retired from Newton Chevrolet after 48 years.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ann Rogers Headley; step-son, Gregg Rogers (wife) Melissa of Lakesite, Tn.; daughters, Sheila Vickery(husband) Reggie of Atlanta, Ga., Ann White of Largo, Fl., and brother, Bill Headley (wife) Robbie of Wilmington, De., eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews who were all very special to him. 

Headley was a devoted husband and married to the love of his life Ann and sealed for time and all eternity.  Headley had many young and old friends near and far, thankful for each one of them. He was a good neighbor who loved to go on long walks and collect golf balls.  He was quite a dignified man, and often showed his other side to family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, July 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
