Kathryn Weaver Fry, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday morning, August 24, 2020, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Kathryn was born Sept. 8, 1930 in Gordon County, Ga., a daughter of the late Gordon and Frankie Rogers Walraven.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin O. “Blue” Weaver and Harry M. Fry; daughter-in-law, Carol Meacham; sisters, Linda Jongema and Rose McIntyre; brothers, Gordon “Bob” Walraven, James Walraven, Wayne Walraven and Ronald David Walraven; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Willa Nell Weaver.

Kathryn was a 1947 graduate of Calhoun High School.  She worked in carpet production for many years, was an interior designer and the owner of Superior Interiors and Design for many years.  She was member of Grace Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise Weaver, Amy Weaver Akins; grandson, Andrew Blue Akins; great-grandson, Jack Blue Akins all of Dalton, GA; sister, Geneva Walraven Smith of Ringgold, GA; brother-in-law, Pete Jongema of Acworth, GA; sister-in-law, Ena Mae Walraven of Forest Park, GA; special friends, Willie Brown of Dalton, GA, Barbara Wilson Krischer of Chattanooga, TN, and Linda Wilson Pierce of Alpharetta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family graveside service will be held at West Hill Cemetery and she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Marvin “Blue” Weaver.
