Psi State TN Kappa Kappa Iota Gamma Chapter members donated about $1,000 worth of school supplies and gift cards to East Brainerd Elementary School teachers.

Gamma Members worked with several of the teachers at East Brainerd Elementary during their careers. After the Easter tornado destroyed the school, these members created a philanthropic project to help them out with needed school supplies for their students.

Andrea Weaver, East Brainerd Elementary ESOL teacher, picked up supplies on Saturday.  Ms. Weaver's husband, Jeff, and her daughter, Allie, helped Gamma Chapter members and their spouses load the items into her car - after all, “Teaching is a family event," she said

Ms. Weaver expressed her sincere appreciation for the donation with many "thank you’s" to Gamma Chapter Kappa Kappa Iota members from Hixson.
