Debra Ann Wooten Wells, 55, passed away at home surrounded by her friends and family on September 18, 2020. She was born in Bradley County to Linda Gatlin Wooten and Wendell Dee Wooten, Sr. on Aug. 22, 1965.
Debra was preceded in death by her father, Wendell Dee Wooten, Sr. and her brother, Bishop Wendell Dee Wooten, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Wells; her children, Travis (Jennifer) Wooten and Triva Wooten; her step-daughters, Bridget Ellis and Stephanie Wells; her mother, Linda Gatlin Wooten; her brother, Jacky (Jeana) Wooten; her grandchildren, Victoria, Steven, Rachel and Brooke Wooten, Eddy McCall, Roxas Chappell, Liam Ellis, Alaina and Nola Hembree; niece, Lauren Shoemaker; nephews, Roger Wooten and Tyler Wooten; her best friend of 33 years, Tammy Moon; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Debra was an animal lover and also leaves behind her six precious cats that she loved dearly.
Debra was of the Church of God faith. She was a loving and devoted mother to her children, and the best Mimi to her grandchildren. She enjoyed canning and making apple butter and going on Harley rides with her husband, Rick. She had a passion for caring for the elderly and mentally challenged. She worked at Life Care of Cleveland and Signature of Cleveland and altogether was a caregiver for over 20 years.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21 at Prospect Church of God, 2220 Harrison Pike in Cleveland. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7 p.m., with Timothy Gann, Ron Lesley and Kenneth Rodriguez officiating.
