May We Never Get What We Deserve

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:5

“Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.” – 1 John 2:9

Some that planned to read this have already turned away.  Why?  Well, the truth hurts.  We either accept the truth or we turn and reject it.  This year has seen so much rejection of the truth.  You may be saying to yourself, “We are fighting for the truth!”  Are you?

I hear so much about social justice these days.  I hear about peaceful protests, which are protected by the U.S. Constitution.  Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. believed in them and showed his and future generations how it was done.  Unfortunately, this generation missed the boat.  Dr. King said clearly that, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”  Peaceful protests occur in the daytime where there is light.  Those filled with hate show up in the night to“…steal, kill and destroy…” (John 10:10).  But it’s mostly peaceful I’m told.

America does not listen to her elders anymore.  We have lost one generation to a failing educational system where many teachers and school employees favor their unions over their students every day, except possibly Sunday, depending on where they are and who they speak to.  I see it in my sons’ school curriculums, both university and elementary.

This lost generation loves hashtags, acronyms and listen to athletes like LeBron and Bubba.  Sports viewership is at record lows, by the way.  I do not listen to millionaire athletes okay with slave labor in China to make their merchandise.  Hollywood lost its soapbox by the sharp tongue of Ricky Gervais months ago.  Sports are next.

Church attendance is in decline like we’ve never seen.  Some states ban attendance completely which is against the Constitution.  Unlawful state lockdowns are causing real pastors and priests to walk away from the pulpit out of desperation allowing wolves in sheep’s clothing to spew false doctrine.  If the Church does not hear my cry for unity in this perversion called social justice in 2020 then my words are forever moot.

The US does not have a red or blue problem.  It has a hate problem: a heart problem!  It is sin!  If a yard sign makes you angry – you are a child of darkness.  If a red hat makes you angry – you are a child of darkness.  If you praised individuals crying death to police in an ER – you are a child of darkness.  But you have hope.

God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty for your and my sins.  All you have to do is pray to Him and accept Him as Savior of your life.  You do this and you receive the FREE gift of grace.  You may wonder what that is.  Justice is when you attack someone and you properly go to jail.  Grace is when you attack someone and the one that attacked you invites you to dinner.  You didn’t get what you deserve.

In many situations presently, what you call justice is anything but.  It has been perverted and sin is to blame.

May we never get what we deserve.  “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.” – II Chronicles 7:14
