Ashley Michelle Lancaster, 32, of Chattanooga died on Monday, January 25, 2021.

She was born on August 24, 1988, in Chattanooga. She was a member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church.

Ashley was preceded in death by grandparents, George H. Lancaster, Sr., Melba Wiseman, and Elwood Shank.

She worked as a nurse with Maxim Healthcare caring for special needs children.  Ashley loved children and was very good at caring for them and gave all of herself.  She was the most selfless person. She also enjoyed playing fast pitch softball; she played for most of her life.

Survivors include her parents, George (Karen) Lancaster and Carol (Bob) Hansen; brothers, Andrew Lancaster and Preston (Abby) Lark; sisters, Kathrine Hansen, Charlotte Hansen, and Jessica (Kevin) Chapman; nieces, Kennedy Chapman, Kayleigh Chapman, and Kambrey Chapman; grandparents, J.B. Wiseman, Gail Finnell, and Charlsie Shank; and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be at noon on Saturday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Pastor Darrell Davenport officiating.

Because of her love for animals, the family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to McKamey Animal Center, 4500 N Access Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.

We respectfully request that "social distancing", wearing masks at all times, and all CDC measures be followed at the funeral home and cemetery.
