Traitors Don't Need To Be Leading Our Country - And Response

Friday, January 8, 2021

I feel that any and all veterans involved in this attempted coup should be stripped of all their benefits including compensation pay and pensions. These were acts of sedition and treason.

Any federal employee should be fired and lose all benefits as well.

The people involved are disgraceful. Trump, Trump Jr. and Guliani are complicit as well as Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz and many others in Congress. All of them must go.

Traitors do not need to be leading our country.

When the leader of one branch of government incites a mob to attack the elected members  of another branch of government, it simply cannot be ignored.

Wednesday’s direct attack on Congress and our democracy was the most un-American act I have ever witnessed in politics in my lifetime.

Every elected leader of Congress  should stand up for democracy and the sanctity of the Institution of Congress itself and support the resignation and/or impeachment of the president who encouraged and incited this mob.

This issue cannot end with Congress failing to take a stand for democracy, even if an impeachment cannot be tried in the senate before Trump leaves office.

It is imperative to our freedoms and to avoid future dictatorships and tyranny from the executive branch that the separate and co-equal branch of government, exercise its constitutional powers of checks and balances and send a strong message to insurrectionist across the land that democracy and the peaceful transfer of power will be defended in America.
