Havana Nights Fundraiser For American Cancer Society Is Friday

  • Wednesday, October 13, 2021

Compass is partnering with REthink Development group this October to present Havana Nights All-In vs. Cancer, a social event, Friday at The Common House.

REthink Development Group is a local real estate partnership of Trey Corum and Jon Chadwick. The pair of Chattanooga natives have a combined total of more than 16 years of real estate experience.
The proceeds from Havana Nights Chattanooga will benefit Real Men Wear Pink, a fundraising group for the American Cancer Society.

For Mr. Chadwick, this is more than just a good cause — it's personal. "The truth is that we feel called to help others in the fight against cancer,” said Mr. Chadwick. “Specifically we have devoted ourselves to be shoulder-to-shoulder with The American Cancer Society because of their role in saving my wife's life.”

Mr. Chadwick's wife Aimee was diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer in October of last year. Mrs. Chadwick is also the founder and president of the non-profit Jamie's Wish Foundation. The foundation works to improve cancer centers and provide patients with more comfortable experiences during treatment.

The American Cancer Society helped fund the development of Herceptin, a chemotherapy drug that has helped Mrs. Chadwick and many other breast cancer patients.

“[The ACS provides] free information and services when and where people need it," Mr. Chadwick says on his Real Men Wear Pink page. "They fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and they're working to ensure access to mammograms for women who need them. Please join me in this important fight.”

Havana Nights Chattanooga will feature craft cocktails and three bars, including the iconic Havana Rum Bar. Guests can also choose to enjoy the VIP area and a Texas Hold 'em poker tournament.
Another item on the event’s itinerary is a live auction of sporting event tickets, private tours, all-inclusive trips, and other special items. Visit the Auction Calendar page to learn more about current and upcoming auctions.

This event will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, with poker player registration beginning at 5:30. You can find tickets to Havana Nights Chattanooga on its event page here.
