Seahawks Crush Knox Grace, 49-6

Delashmitt Leads Silverdale Past Rams With 3 TDs

Friday, October 22, 2021 - by Staff Reports

Silverdale Baptist Academy ran all over Grace Christian Academy as they continued their march through the regular season with a 49-6 home win. Halfback Connor Delashmitt ran for three touchdowns and well over 100 yards to lead the way.

But another star on offense was the versatile Turner Junkins, who ran for a 71 yard touchdown with 6:50 left in the first quarter.

And right before that quarter ended, he caught a Brett Rogets touchdown pass from 63 yards away from paydirt to give the Seahawks a 28-0 lead going into the second.

Sebastian Hanks added a 42 yard touchdown run in the second, while Delashmitt raced in from 40 and Rogers recovered a fumble in the third. Silverdale’s defense was relentless and gave up 69 yards rushing on the night, and did not allow Grace Christian to score until late in the fourth quarter.

End The UTC Sports Nightmare - And Response (2)

UT Chattanooga’s loss today to the College of Charleston was embarrassing. I believe Coach Paris has done great things since he has been there, and hopefully today's loss will wake them up. But no losses could wake up the football team that should have been 9 and 2. The women’s basketball team, I know they have several good players out, but the trend since the loss of Coach Foster ...
