Robert Nelson Davis, 91, of Trenton, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Nelson was born Jan. 8, 1930 in Wildwood to the late Robert and Lorene Davis. He was a welder by trade and was an excellent mechanic. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, who will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Nelson was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Davis; son, Lloyd Nelson Davis; and brother, Billy Davis.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jerry (Vonda) Davis, Barbara Solomon and Nancy Smith; sister, Dorothy (Kenny) Clevenger; brother, Gene Davis; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 17 in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, with Brother David Smith and David Plank officiating. Burial will follow at Hooker Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and on Friday from noon until the funeral hour.
