Bobby Neil Gunter, 82, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 5, 2021.

 

Neil was a devoted, loving husband to Hennie for 48 years, and a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and brother. He was known for his quick wit, humorous stories, and his contagious laugh. He was an avid golfer and so loved his golfing buddies. Neil had a servant's heart, ministering to widows and single moms, and anyone else in need; using his many talents to repair, build, and provide relief. He was a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Hennie, daughter, Sharon Hess (Mike), Jason Gunter (Nikki), Joshua Gunter (Summer), and Haley Nall (Brad), grandchildren, Logan Hess (Hannah), Connor Hess, Stewart Gunter (Cat), Ava Ruth Gunter, and great-grandson, Henry Hess, sister, Brenda Bruce (Larry), and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Brainerd Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
