The newest senior living community in Cleveland is up to something big for Earth Day, which is Thursday, April 22. Avail, an assisted living and memory care community opening mid-May 2021 off 1400 Stuart Road NE, recently planted one tree per resident around the community.

Officials said, "As part of this effort going forward, Avail is committed to planting 72 trees in the green area surrounding the seven-acre community. Each tree will be planted in honor of a resident and will provide future generations with a gift benefiting our environment for the next 250 years."

Team members gathered to plant trees on Tennessee Tree Day (March 20), both to beautify the community and do their part in helping build a cleaner world.
There were other groups involved who helped make Tree Day possible for Avail, too: The Tennessee Environmental Council, the UT Extension Institute of Agriculture and the Bradley County Master Gardeners, whose help was instrumental in Avail's tree planting efforts.
