Elaine Mason
Elaine Mason passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at her home surround by her family.
She was the daughter of the late Beulah and Taylor Gentry and was also preceded in death by her siblings, Zelma Cornleison, Gertrude Tracy, Ruth Cain, Ronnie Gentry and Robert Gentry.
She was a member of the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church where she played the organ for over 16 years. She is currently a member of Woodland Park Baptist Church in Chattanooga. Elaine was passionate about her faith and she shared the gospel through Precept Bible Study for many years. She adored her husband, children and grandchildren. She also taught line dancing for 14 years and was an avid primitive antique collector.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Frank Mason; her children, Michael Mason, Shawn McCluskey, Mark Mason and his wife Kelly; her grandchildren, Jacob Mason and his wife Briley, Mason McCluskey, Maggie Yaun and her husband Brandon, Josey McCluskey and Patrick Patel; and her great-grandchild, Riverlee McCluskey.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 17, at 2 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Street Chapel with Rev. Richard Mason officiating. The interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery with Mark Mason, Michael Mason, Jacob Mason, Mason McCluskey, Patrick Patel and Brandon Yaun serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 17, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
