John Wilson
John Samuel Wilson, 88, of Ooltewah, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family.
A longtime resident of Chattanooga, John retired from Combustion Engineering after 32 years of service and went on to retire from the Information Services Department of TVA after 10 years.
He was an active member at Brainerd United Methodist Church where he had served as an usher for many years.
An avid golfer, he was a member of Creeks Bend Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dixon Wilson; two sons, John (Regina) Wilson, Franklin, TN and Randy (Sheila) Wilson, Roswell, GA; five grandchildren, Eric Wilson, Michael (Caitlin) Wilson, Amy (Ethan George) Wilson, Leah (Tyler) Conroy, and Adam (Kate) Wilson.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 30, at 1 p.m. at Brainerd United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Bracken officiating. A private family burial will be held.
