Soddy Daisy rallied behind Taylor Lloyd’s four RBIs Tuesday afternoon and bested Cleveland, 10-3, for a win on the road.
Lloyd also took the win in the circle, going two innings and allowing one run on one hit, striking out three and giving up zero walks. Teammate Jenna Sims threw five innings in relief
Falling behind 1-0 after one inning, the Lady Trojans’ offense unloaded on the Lady Blue Raiders for seven runs in the top of the second. Hope Ingle started things off with a double to center and then moved to second on a walk to Kali Pourfarzib.
With runners on first and second and one out, Makayla Perez doubled to right field on a ground ball. Her hit scored Ingle and moved Pourfarzib to third. Next up, Courtney Sneed reached on an error, plating Pourfarzib.
Tatum Massengale was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Lloyd then singled to center following a steal of home by Perez with Sneed moving to third, then scoring on Lloyd’s hit. Carissa Wilson connected for a two out single to left scoring Massengale and Lloyd,
Ingle connected on her second hit of the inning, driving the ball on a fly to right for a double with Wilson racing home to end the Soddy Daisy scoring for the inning.
The Lady Trojans added three more in the third and Cleveland scored twice in the fourth.
Ingle ended the day with three hits for Soddy daisy while Sneed and Lloyd each had two. K Wheeler had a pair of hits for Cleveland.

Walker Valley 8, McMinn Co, 3: The Lady Cherokees jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but Walker Valley scored twice in the bottom of the second to tie it up before plating four runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead for good at 6-3. The Lady Mustangs added two in the sixth.
Sammie Greeson, Sierra Tate and Cami Wade each had two hits for McMinn Co. Michelle Benson, Madilyn Kidd and Addison Woodall all had two hits for Walker Valley.
