Hoyt “Shane” Wilson, age 84, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 in a local hospital.

He was born in Calhoun, Tn. on Aug. 29, 1936. Shane enjoyed trading, collecting guns, gardening, running with his dogs, ham shoots, attending union meetings, and sitting on the front porch and catching up on all the latest with his buddies. He was a member of the Local 917 Operating Engineers for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Rebecca; and his son, Darrell Wilson.

He is survived by his son, Greg Wilson; his granddaughter, Chancie Brewer and her husband Chris; his great-grandchildren, Peyton Brewer and Shayli Brewer; and his great-great-granddaughter, Grayzliegh Arp.

A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Monday, May 24, at 3 p.m. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Tracey Fansler officiating. The interment will follow at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery with friends and family serving as casket bearers.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Monday, may 24, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family request the donations be made in Shane’s memory to the Parkinson’s Foundation www.parkinson.org.
