Colton Brown Receives $1,000 Pearl And Floyd Franks Scholarship

Musician Colton Brown of Chickamauga was presented his $1,000 Pearl and Floyd Franks Scholarship from the Share America Foundation president Randall Franks upon his graduation from Oakwood Christian Academy. 

Mr. Brown plays piano, harmonica and drums and will use the scholarship this fall as he attends UTC.

He began performing at the age of six.

He participated in the #1 CD – “Americana Youth of Southern Appalachia.” The album reached #1 on the APD Top 50 Americana Global Albums charts. It features several previous scholars and other youth from Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.
