McCallie got off to a strong start Friday evening in its quest for a three-peat as the defending state champions passed their way past CCS, 46-7, on the Chargers’ home field. Blue Tornado quarterback William Riddle had a 26 of 33 night for 401 yards.
Senior wide receiver Xavier Gaillardetz had seven receptions for 129 yards and two scores, while teammate Austin Breedlove hauled in six catches for 82 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Weston Hammond also caught two passes for TDs.
CCS’ Boo Carter had an 80 yard reception for a touchdown from B.J. Holland for the Chargers’ lone score.
