Johnny Lee Spivey, Jr.
Johnny Lee Spivey, Jr., age 52, of Chickamauga, Georgia, Kensington Community, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021.
He was born March 20, 1969. He was a member of Father Jesus Christ Church. He worked 20 plus years for Shaw Industries and was last employed by Roper Corporation. He enjoyed grilling, listening to music, and was an advent football fan.
He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Lee Spivey, Sr., and brother-in-law, Thomas Montgomery.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Marsh Spivey; children, Nyoka (Chris) Renfroe, Deonte Marsh, Lakelia (Clarence) Marsh, Johnnavious Marsh; seven grandchildren, Demarius, Ramond, Sha’nyis, Victoria, Jeremiah, DeVonta, ZaVon; mother, Callie Jean Hammonds; brothers, Ronald Hammonds, Donald Hammonds, Derrick (Cassandra) Spivey, Antwon Spivey; stepsister, Kelly Jarrett; stepmother, Evelyn Heath; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Calvin and Betty Montgomery; brothers-in-law, Calvin Montgomery, Jr, Michael (Donna) Montgomery; sisters-in-law, Adrienne (Alonzo) Blackwell, Jessica Montgomery;, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; specials friends, Ken Silmon, Stanley Holland, Gerald Shelton, and other friends.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m. at Followers of Jesus Christ Church, 2982 Glass Mill Rd, Chickamauga, GA 30707, with Pastor Leonard Johnson as eulogist.
The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
Interment will be at Garmany Cemetery.
