McCallie’s Ontario Price rushed for 165 yards against MBA Friday night, but perhaps his most important carry was with 2:46 left in the contest when he rumbled into the end zone from four yards out to give the Blue Tornado a hard fought 34-31 region win.
It was Price’s third score in the back-and-forth game against the Big Red in Nashville.
McCallie led at the half, 20-17, but MBA used scores in the third and fourth quarters to take a 31-20 lead. The Tornado then responded with touchdowns by Xavier Gaillardetz on a 65 yard catch from William Riddle and Price’s late score.
Riddle ended the night with 216 passing yards on 15 completions, 163 of which went to Gaillardetz on seven catches.
McCallie goes to 3-0 and 1-0 on the season. The Tornado will host Miami International Academy next Friday night at Spears Stadium.
