Thurman Lewis “Buddy” Pitts
Thurman Lewis “Buddy” Pitts, 90, of Daisy, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
He was a member of White Oak United Methodist Church. He graduated from Daisy High School and the University of Chattanooga. Buddy served his country in the U.S. Army and enjoyed his time in the Philippines. Buddy was a retired engineer from TVA. He had a beautiful singing voice and performed at many weddings and social events when he was younger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Haynes and Edna Lewis Pitts; wife, Latty Kay Kilgore Pitts and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Pitts Simpson, Patricia Pitts Allen and Jean Pitts Thomas.
Survivors are his sister, Judy Pitts Medearis; children, Greg Pitts (Lisa) and Shara Thaxton (Tommy); grandchildren, Emily Thaxton Peace (Josh), Abigail Thaxton, David Pitts (Theresa); several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
