Chattanooga Auto Square To Host Blood Assurance To Meet "Critical Need"

  • Tuesday, January 18, 2022
The dealerships of Chattanooga Auto Square are hosting a blood drive from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. this Friday to assist Blood Assurance in meeting their "critical need" for blood.  Team members from INFINITI, Jaguar, Land Rover and Porsche of Chattanooga will be on hand to welcome donors.  The event will be held closest to the Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships, 2915 Yerbey Dr.

Donors coming to the dealership will be treated to lunch by Mission BBQ and Blood Assurance is providing a long-sleeve 50th anniversary commemorative t-shirt.  Auto Square and Blood Assurance team members will be practicing social distancing and will be masked.  In addition, Blood Assurance will be sanitizing the blood mobile between donors to make sure the experience is as safe as possible.

Blood Assurance CEO J.B.
Gaskins said, “The period after the holidays can be challenging for us and with the current pandemic seeing an uptick in cases, we’re grateful for companies like Auto Square who recognize our needs and step up to help.”

Auto Square Executive General Manager Virgil Edwards said, “Blood Assurance has been making a difference in our community for 50 years and we’re honored to host them for a great day of providing donations that will save lives.”

Those wishing to participate must be over 17 years old and bring a valid I.D. Donors are encouraged to drink additional fluids, stay away from energy drinks and eat a healthy meal before donating.

Mr. Edwards added, “If you have been touched by a blood donation from Blood Assurance in the past, want to donate to honor someone or simply want to make a difference in our community, we hope you’ll join us on Jan. 21st.”
