The inaugural "Smoke on the Mountain," held at the Walden’s Ridge Civic League, 2501 Fairmount Pike on Signal Mountain, will feature two days of family fun, BBQ, an “Anything But BBQ” contest, a BBQ contest and live music. The event is set for Friday and Saturday, from 3-9 p.m.
Friday features music from Stephen Graham with New Grass Express, Luke Powers from Nashville, Slow Fuze Blues, and Blue Cumberland, as well as a judged “Anything But BBQ Contest,” with BBQ, beer and soft drinks for sale.
Saturday features music from Joseph Clawson, Ragtime by Peggy Douglas and Wayfaring Angels, Luke Powers, Owen Saunders Family Band, and Lowdown Revival.
In addition, on Saturday, there will be a judged BBQ contest, hayrides, face painting, games for the whole family, and a costume parade - everyone encouraged to come in their Halloween finery. BBQ, hot dogs, hamburgers, beer and soft drinks will be available for sale.
Both days will also feature bonfires with s’mores for the little ones.
