UTC Women's Tennis Team Travels To Georgia Southern Shootout

  • Thursday, October 6, 2022
The Chattanooga Mocs women’s tennis team returns to its fall action this weekend when it travels to the Georgia Southern Shootout held Friday through Sunday at the Wallis Tennis Center in Statesboro, Ga.

The team is coming off a successful invitational following last week’s play in Murfreesboro at the MTSU event. This weekend is another opportunity for the team to continue its development ahead of the spring season.

“Not all our players are participating in the tournament this weekend which gives a chance for others to step up and improve,” said head coach Chad Camper.

“As we turn toward the middle to end of the fall season, playing quality points is important as well as high percentage tennis.”

Chattanooga will join the likes of Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Troy, Georgia State and Emory at this weekend’s shootout.
Play begins on Friday at 9 a.m. ET and will consist of three sessions before two sessions on Saturday and two on Sunday.
