Etowah is hosting several events on Saturday, including the Veterans Parade in downtown at 3 p.m.
Then at 3:30 p.m., Starr Mountain Distillery at 612 Tennessee Ave. will be open for game watchers as the Tennessee Volunteers go against Georgia Bulldogs at Georgia’s Sanford Stadium.
After the game, take a very short stroll south to the Historic Gem Theater where Matt Cordell will be performing “Jukebox Jamboree and His Forever Freedom Salute” to honor our veterans. He will be performing a number of different genres of songs including country, pop, rock & roll and a special set of favorite Elvis tunes.
Merchants & Friend of Etowah and Etowah Parks and Recreation will present Matt Cordell’s concert at 7:30 p.m. and the Gem Theater doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Reserve seat tickets are still available at Etowah Community Center, 155 Robinson St. in Etowah and general tickets will be available till Friday at Junktiques in Athens. There will be general tickets available at the box office Saturday as well. The Gem Theater Box Office will open at 2 p.m. for those who have pre-paid for tickets and those who are still needing to purchase tickets.
