Matt Russell
Matt Russell, age 36, of Rocky Face, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William Earl Russell, Sr.; mother, Joy Ann O’Keefe and grandmother, Mary Jane O’ Keefe.
Matt loved his wife and children with all his heart. He was a genuinely good person who was selfless and giving. He was an outstanding Dad and loved coaching his kids and being involved in all they did. He was the best Atlanta Braves fan and loved the lake and hunting. Matt was the owner of Town and Country Pillow Co.
He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years and his middle school sweetheart whom he had been with a total of 22 years, Amanda Gray Russell; daughter, Kenzie Lynn Russell; son, Kase William Russell; father, Bill Russell; grandmother, Doris Russell; sister, Amber Russell; mother-in-law and father-in-law, LaDonna and Jerry Gray; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kaley and Heath Gray and Krystle and Clay Keith; special cousins, Tabitha and Josh Crider; aunt, Jan Leonard, nieces, Myleigh, Chassidy and Elainea; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and tons of special friends.
The family will receive friends at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home Monday from 5-8 p.m.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. J.T. Sanders and Rev. Ronald Guffey officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Asten Sullivan, Heath Gray, Josh Crider, Kevin Landen, Jamie Dotson, Adam Belk and Bailey Jones.
