Author Jim Greeson has released "A Collection of Life Stories," a book he originally wrote for his grandchildren about his years in Chattanooga.

Mr. Greeson said, "Memories are important. It is important to share them with family; it is important to reflect on them from time to time to help us appreciate our life journey. 'A Collection of Life Stories' includes stories of my growing up years in the 1950s and early 1960s in the East Brainerd community of Chattanooga, my family and the hardships they endured during their lives, my grandparents and visiting them on Sand Mountain in North Alabama, schools and churches I attended, my career in public education and more.
There are about fifty different stories in the book reflecting on my life. The book was written for my grandchildren. I just wanted them to know more about Grandpa Jim and what my life was like.

"Other people found out about my book and expressed interest in reading it, so I published it through Amazon.

"We all face ups and downs, hardships and difficulties in life and good times as well. I have shared mine in this book. It is not hard to look at life as a compilation of moments, events, decisions and perhaps fate, but alone, those marks in time are empty and have little value. Love, faith and the support of family and friends over my 76 years make me one lucky and blessed man. I hope by sharing my experiences, it will encourage others to reflect and appreciate the life they’ve been given.

Mr. Greeson was born and raised in Chattanooga. He graduated from Tyner High School in 1964 and holds three degrees from Tennessee Tech. He was a career educator as a teacher, coach, school principal and statewide education consultant.

“A Collection of Life Stories” is available on amazon.com in both paperback and kindle.
