Two commissioners, Michelle Wilson and Wayne Behlau, were sworn in by Judge Arnold Stulce at Lakesite’s Commission meeting on Tuesday. Commissioner Wilson was re-elected to her seat, while this is the first time for Commissioner Behlau to serve as a commissioner.

Commissioner Wilson was first elected to serve as a Lakesite commissioner in November 2018. She was re-elected this year and will be beginning her second four-year term on the board.

“My initial reason for running is to keep the family-oriented atmosphere that Lakesite displays,” said Commissioner Wilson.
“I have raised my children here and loved every day I have lived here. I am extremely excited and looking forward to what the future holds for Lakesite."

Commission Behlau is beginning his first term as a Lakesite commissioner. He is a degreed engineer with commercial construction, bid review/submission and land development experience.

“As residents of Lakesite for eight years, my wife Linda and I love our city and are excited about the future,” said Commissioner Behlau. “Where else can you find a community with connected neighbors, a strong sense of family, low taxes and live in God’s country.”
