Support The S. M. Robertson Police And Fire Christmas Fund

  • Saturday, December 3, 2022

With Christmas around the corner, it’s that time of year when we have the opportunity to thank the men and women who serve on our police and fire teams. We have continued to grow as a community, making their job even more critical as they protect and defend our families and homes. In the midst of hiring new police officers and firefighters, we are grateful for the tenure of several men and women, like Fire Captain Claude Clemons, who recently retired after 35 years of faithful service. As citizens of Signal Mountain, let’s not take for granted the dedication, courage, and sacrificial commitment with which the police and fire teams serve us. As we reflect on the men and women, families, and generations who have invested in the community in which we are fortunate to live, work, and play, we are thankful for the 46 police and fire personnel who protect us every day.

Over 50 years ago, my grandfather, Silas M. Robertson, Jr., started the Signal Mountain Police & Fire Christmas Fund. After his passing in 2004 and in light of his legacy of giving and of loving our community, we named the fund the S. M. Robertson Police & Fire Christmas Fund. This time of year is when the citizens of Signal Mountain have the opportunity to express our thanks by contributing to that Christmas Fund, which is divided among the police and fire personnel on Christmas Eve.

Please join me in showing our overwhelming support for these men and women. As Christmas is a time to rejoice with family and friends and a time to thank God for our many blessings, please consider a contribution as part of your year-end giving.

To contribute you can:
