Thelma “Billie” Elizabeth McKinney, 92, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2022.

Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, AL.

Billie was born to the late John and Georgia Chadwick Troxtel on Oct. 23, 1930, in Sulphur Springs, Al. She retired from Chattanooga City Court where she worked as an assistant court clerk. She also worked as a stagehand at the Memorial Auditorium and was a member of the IATSE Union Local 130. Billie was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Sarah Gatlin and Aileen Welden.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Thomas (Jennifer) McKinney of Hixson, and Vicki McKinney in Thousand Oaks, Ca.; and grandson, Ian McKinney of Madison, Wi.
