  • Wednesday, December 7, 2022

Hamilton County EMS announces the opening of EMS Station 15.

HCEMS Director John Miller will cut the ribbon this Friday at 11 a.m. at Station 15, 8881 Snowy Owl Road, that will signify Medic 15 station is now in service. This ambulance station location was selected based on population growth in the Ooltewah area and it’s an area that wasn’t within a five-mile radius of more than one ambulance station. Medic 15 will help provide better response coverage for the Ooltewah-Georgetown, Mahan Gap, Snowhill Road and Short Tail Springs Road area.

HCEMS operates 16 Advanced Life Support ambulances 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with over 150 full time paramedics, advanced EMTs and EMT’s.

HCEMS averages approximately 140 emergency calls per day and will respond to over 51,000 calls this year, officials said.
