Robert “Bob” Cyphers
Robert “Bob” Cyphers, 85, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, went to be with his Savior on February 5, 2022.
Bob was born to the late Mr. Harvey Cyphers and Mrs. Mary Hoover Cyphers in Kittanning, Pa., on Aug. 17, 1936.
Bob was a kind and generous man with a truly giving heart who was lovingly known as stubborn and a terrible driver. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years. After his military retirement, Bob surrendered to his calling and went to seminary to become a minister and share the love of Jesus. He was a loving husband and a devoted father and grandfather. Bob was a prayer warrior who belonged to Parkway Baptist Church and was also a member of their choir. Bob always remembered every grandchild and great grandchild’s birthday because Bob’s faith was his priority. He was always giving “another chance” to everyone who needed it. Bob’s love and kindness will be missed by all of those fortunate enough to have known him.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 61 years, Mrs. Cherrio Cyphers, his parents, sisters and his daughter-in-law Sandee Cyphers.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann Cyphers, son, Dyke Cyphers, daughters; Fonda (John) Parshall and Tawnya (Jay) Fowler. 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive to cherish Bob’s memory.
