Mildred Ellis Protho, 95, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, surrounded by loved ones at her residence.

She was an active member of New City Fellowship. Mildred served several Christian ministries and service organizations including Widow’s Harvest and the Edmiston Center at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl F. Ellis Sr., who passed away at the age of 82.; and Reverend Orlando Protho, who passed at the age of 65.

Survivors include her son, Carl Jr. and his wife Karen; grandchildren, Carl III and Nicole; great-granddaughter, Sunny Alexandria; dear-friend, Ruth Williams; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 4, at 10 a.m. at New City Fellowship Church, 2424 East 3rd Street Chattanooga, Tn. 37404, with Pastor Kevin Smith as the eulogist. A repast will follow.  

Buria will be l in Chattanooga National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 5, at 11 a.m.
