Lee's White Named To Lacrosse All-Region Team

  • Saturday, May 14, 2022
Lee University’s Brittney White was one of 128 student-athletes in Division II to be honored by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2022. White was named to the 16-member All-South Region Second Team.

“Brittney turned in another solid year for Lee Lacrosse,” said Lee head coach Derrel Martin. “She is a leader on and off the field for our team as one of our captains. She faced the toughest national competition this year and finished up at eighth in the nation with 124 draw controls for an average of 7.75 draws per game.
She continued to be a scoring threat with 39 goals on the season even when she was face-guarded at times. She is accomplished in the classroom and is a great example of a Lee University student-athlete. We look forward to having her back in the lineup next year.”

White started all 16 games for the Lady Flames this season. Out of her 39 goals, four of them were game winners to help Lee record an 8-8 record.

These student-athletes named to an all-region team are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2022 All-American teams on May 19.
