At the conclusion of round three, 12 teams of the entry of 20 advanced to the final round of the Nationals played in Joplin, Mo. at the Twin Hills Golf and Country Club. Cleveland State ended in 15th place but had Isaac Meador qualify to play for individual honors in the final round.
Meador shot a final score of 79 which placed him in a tie for 31st place. Cleveland State’s season and showing at the National Tournament, team wise and individually gives head coach Caleb Evans a solid foundation to continue building the Cougar Golf program.
South Mountain Community College, ironically the Cougars, claimed the National Championship. NJCAA history was made with the win as interim head coach Chelsea Carroll is the first female head coach to lead a men’s team to a NJCAA title.
