Jerry Joseph Jordan, Sr., 53, of Knoxville and formerly of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in Lovejoy, Ga.
He was born in Watervliet, Mi., on Sept. 3, 1968.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanfer Jordan; his brother, Robert Jordan; and his nephew, Ronnie Jordan, Jr.
Jerry lived in Rhea County most of his life before moving to Knoxville in recent years. He built beautiful willow furniture.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Miranda (McBride) Jordan of Knoxville; his mother, Verna (Hughes) Jordan of Hickory, NC; his three sons, Jerry “Joey” (Nikki) Jordan, Jr. of Soddy Daisy, Johnny “JJ” (Brenda) Potter of Dayton, and Joshua Jordan of Hammond, LA; his two daughters, Tiffany (Perry) Moore and Ravyn Thomas, both of Dayton; his step-daughter, McKenzie McBride of Knoxville; three minor children; his four sisters, Hester Burkhalter, Sharon Citsay, Lynette Grider, and Sheila Jordan, all of North Carolina; his three brothers, Ronnie Jordan, Sr. of Dayton, Michael Jordan, and Lonnie Jordan, both of North Carolina; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; and many other family members who loved him.
Graveside funeral services for Jerry will be held at Hughes Cemetery in Bledsoe County on Wednesday, May 25, at 11 a.m. with his uncle, Junior Hughes officiating.
