McCallie won the 2022 tennis championship Thursday to complete an undefeated season.

McCallie finished an unblemished 2022 tennis season with a dominating 4-0 victory over Memphis University School in the finals of the Division II-AA team tournament on Wednesday in Murfreesboro.
Currently ranked #1 in the nation in the Universal Tennis high school boys rankings, the Blue Tornado got off to a strong start by winning the doubles point. Senior Will Leathers and sophomore Gabe Getz were first off the court, winning 8-2 at #2 doubles.
Senior Colin Tuttle and junior Andreas Sillaste were next off with an 8-4 victory at the #1 spot.
McCallie won five of six first sets in singles, and it was a race to see which matches would finish. Getz gave the Blue Tornado a 2-0 lead with his 6-0, 6-3 win at #4. Leathers increased the lead to 3-0 with a 6-3, 6-0 win at #2. Tuttle clinched the title with his 6-1, 6-2 win at #3.
In winning its third consecutive state team title, McCallie finishes the season 15-0.
